Three Ways to Create Your Companion

Konsort offers three distinct character creation modes, each designed for a different level of investment and customization.

Express Mode (~2 minutes)

Best for: **Quick starts, casual users, first-time creators**

Express mode gets you chatting in under two minutes. Pick a vibe (Romantic, Mysterious, Playful, Dominant, etc.), choose a gender, and add an optional description. The AI generates everything else — personality, backstory, appearance, and voice settings.

The "Surprise Me" button is a hidden gem. It randomly generates a complete character with a cohesive personality, backstory, and scenario. Great for discovering character types you wouldn't have thought to create yourself.

Studio Mode (~10 minutes) — Recommended

Best for: **Most users who want meaningful customization**

Studio mode is the sweet spot. It offers 12 non-linear sections you can fill in any order:

1. **Identity** — Name, age, gender, pronouns, orientation 2. **Appearance** — Physical description with body type sliders 3. **Personality** — 5 core trait sliders (dominance, energy, affection, intellect, spirit) 4. **Voice** — Speaking style, verbosity, emoji usage, verbal tics 5. **Desires & Limits** — Content boundaries and preferences 6. **Backstory** — History, trauma, goals, fears, relationships 7. **Scenario** — The opening scene for your first conversation 8. **Dynamics** — Relationship type and power balance 9. **Director Notes** — Behind-the-scenes behavior instructions

A completion tracker shows your progress, and you can preview the character card before publishing.

Advanced Mode (~20 minutes)

Best for: **Power users, prompt engineers, character designers**

Advanced mode gives you full control over the system prompt. You can edit the raw text that instructs the AI how to behave. This is the mode for people who want pixel-perfect control over every aspect of their character's behavior.

Import/export support lets you share characters as JSON files or bring in characters from other platforms using the TavernAI V2 format.

Which Should You Choose?

If you're new, start with Express. If you want a character that feels uniquely yours, use Studio. If you're a prompt engineer who wants total control, go Advanced. You can always upgrade a character from Express to Studio later by editing it.
